Our mission is to give you the guidance, coaching and motivation to reach for and achieve your fitness goals—no matter what those goals might be. We take a unique approach to understanding YOUR definition of athletic achievement and then coach you every step of the way. At Alamo Endurance we’ll help you discover the athlete in you!

If you are tired of your same old running routine, don’t have time for 8-hour workouts, or are interested in adding a strength and conditioning program to your training routine, then Alamo Endurance is for you. The programming is structured, sport-specific, and integrated with POSE running principles, explosive activity, and mobility-based support. Repetition is the enemy, and like our CrossFit program, the workouts are always varied.

Power and speed are critical components to success in the 5k, 10k and endurance running world. With careful planning, our coaching plan increases these two mainstays of performance while decreasing recovery time, reducing injury, promoting preservation of lean tissue and creating a more sustainable performance curve.

We focus on eliminating unnecessary volume of training while increasing intensity….and it works.

Long slow duration results in athletes being less powerful, less lean and more prone to injury, low energy and abbreviated sports longevity.

What We Offer

Group Running Classes

We offer a 3x weekly Running Class that is open to all members on Tuesdays at 5:30am, Thursdays at 5:30am, and Saturdays at 7am. The class focuses on proper running technique along with a running workout designed to develop and maximize your endurance and anaerobic threshold.

Private Run Coaching

Private Run Coaching is an amazingly effective complement to your sport-specific training program. Our staff will work with you to identify and clarify your athletic goals, assess your movement, and design a program specifically targeted at improving your deficiencies and optimizing your strengths, all with an eye toward improving your next big run.

Per-session pricing varies depending on the nature of the programming but is generally between $75 and $100/hour.

Our Staff
Coach Mike

Coach Mike Martinez is Fitness Porvida’s Running and Endurance Coach. His specialties include running physiology and technique, nutrition counseling, and strength and conditioning programming for running performance. He is a certified POSE coach, CrossFit Running and CrossFit Endurance certified coach and holds a B.S. in Kinesiology from the University of Maryland. His running and endurance resume speaks volumes.
